Note: This is not a finished product. I am posting this now so that readers may get some sense
of the outstanding track and field performers in the history of Winnfield High School/Senior High School rather than letting
the data I have sit on my computer unread I will post what I have and update as I go. The difficulty in finding complete
information is that when a newspaper posts the results of a track meet they typically only show the time, distance or height
of the first place finisher. I have found names of a number of WSHS athletes who finished in the top 5 of an event but no
time, distance or height was posted. The information I have found came from the Shreveport, Monroe or Alexandria newspapers.
I have not searched the Winn Parish Enterprise yet so I hope to add to this information after I do that search. If any

I am posting
several items:
a. School records in all events
b. time, distance or height for anyone who has participated
in a State Championship meet c. the fasted times, longest distance thrown or jumped or greatest height jumped or
vaulted for an individual in every event. I have only posted the top performance for any individual.
